Compressor - Which one?
My compressor is getting past it's best, it was my dads and must be 30+ years old i think... it rocks around on the floor whenever i hit the peddle and i have no idea if it is suitable for my badger 200 airbrush. Is there a standard test i can do to check pressure and airflow? or is it just down to experience?
I know if is better than cans which should not be sold as they are totally useless. What do i need to pay for a good hobby compressor? there is one in Apex for £150... |
check out B&Q they had a small 6ltr compressor (there own brand, Powertrain or something) for just under £50 before the 15% off sale started so u might be able to pick one up for about the £40 mark.......
My hobby comp cost £89, but rarely use it. Got a 25ltr comp in the garage that i use, with an 15mtr airline ( gets you away from the noise...) and regulator/moisture trap. PS if you know an OAP ( don't laugh :p ) they can get an OAP discount card from customer services so can get another 5% off the £40 HTH......;) |
