esc to battery wiring question
 

hey guys,

ok so i have a MMM system in my 1/8 buggy and i was putting the deans connectors on when i noticed that the wires going to the esc are 10 AWG and the ones going to the battery are 12AWG... will this be a problem? like will the 12 burn up? or you guys think i'll be fine? i'm runnin two 5000mah 30C 2s packs

You'll be fine that will be rated much higher than is 'needed'.

I wouldnt run the Deans connectors on a 1/8th conversion, they will melt!

Running two packs through two connectors will be fine on deans to be honest. If you switch to one big pack, or have two acks running through one set of deans anywhere, then I would use 6mm Corally tubes. 12AWG wires are fine, I run them on my Tekin between the motor and ESC. I do run 10AWG wire on my battery side, but that is overkill really. 12AWG is the thinnest I'd go, but it is enough.

ok well i have the two packs going through two separate deans connectors so hopefully i don't melt them... if i do i'll get some new connectors... thanks guys
