U3555 Alloy mount
 

Anyone using the new rear allow mount? Looks like you can run the shocks at the rear without swapping the wishbones over?

Still the question of the Cat having a long wheel base anyway..

doesn't make the car long wheel base,it moves weight on front of the shock pick up positions,more centralized,Matty didn't like it that way ether said it made the car feel slow and lazy.

Sorry yes I know it doesn't make the car longer, it's long to start with and the conversion makes it shorter etc.

I ran with the original rear conversion they did and wasn't keen so ended up with the shocks back on the front.

it was only ever done on a really bad bumpy track any way to calm it down,i don't think it was ever meant to be a run like this thing, just another option when all else fails

Yeah I found that too, was he using Schumacher or Losi shocks?

Need to come down to our track as it's fairly bumpy, but I'd be interested to see what you guys define as bumpy.

As mentioned on the other thread next thing is to drill the pistons out and see how that goes etc. I was seeing how the yellow springs felt earlier, but too soft I think.

I am using Schumacher shocks were a friend of mine is running the Losi shocks.

Got the LIPO chassis coming (S1 and carbon) only got both as I messed up the original order.

How often do you use the roll bars?

what track you race at mike might be worth a ride down,schuy shocks all the way mate,any pics of the track?

Titchfield in hampshire. We are a very small club with relatively low numbers etc. but it's enjoyable. The plan for myself and Steve is to head further afield soon with the Cat SXs

We are hopefully getting a timing system shortly rather than relying on somes button pushing. I am also try to advertise the club more as we are the ONLY club in Hampshire.

I get the feeling off road racing is a Northern thing :(

I have been to your track and it is a great little track!!!! I wouldnt say it's that bumpy. I run my shocks at the back, just drilled new holes in the wishbone, I think it is far better for me!!! I tune my car with tyres and springs and oil!!! I think it is sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup:

Mate of mine ran it at the weekend, but prefers the wishbones reversed. I'll take a pick of mine in a bit.

Doesn't cater well for a big meeting :( :cry:

The way I see it there are now three options
Standard kit set-up
Rear conversion with wishbones reversed
New upper mount with shocks put to the back and holes drilled in the wishbones for the shocks.

It was a few years ago, I raced 2wd, and I did win, haha, ok stop laughing!!!
Take the 3rd option in my opinion! This makes the car ultra safe, then you can dial in more aggression if you need it!!
I should come down this winter, you guys have a great track there!!!

Deffo as Steve Brown wants someone to beat him (He's a Euro's A finalist etc in the Nitro world.)

He races a Cat SX and Losi XXCR and we were going to come up to EPR soon

Rear dances a bit with that rear set-up but need to drill some pistons and go from there.
