ezrun 5,5turn combo

i have tryed my 5.5 turn motor in my son madrat and it works fine plus fast as hell brakes . but in my b4 the brakes are set at 100% and it take about 10 seconds to stop a very little bit but just rolls i need hard brakes and have tryed everything i can do. does anybody know why this is happening :(

stampede vxlboy 11-10-2009 08:59 PM

anybody know about this esc and motor

stox217 11-10-2009 09:02 PM

Sound's like you have a bad set up transmitter or a badley built b4
Either way reset the speedo up to the transmitter and try again

fido-dido 11-10-2009 09:08 PM

i have the 13t motor and speedo in my mardave and its possible the speedo has reset back to standard settings, use the programing card to get the brakes back up.

i got the b4 off here off si coe and he races all the time i have set the brakes to 100% and still no better?:woot:

rc_dan 11-10-2009 09:13 PM

strange, re set your tiger positions then, and re configure your control with your esc

stampede vxlboy 11-10-2009 10:01 PM

how can i get the brakes to work as there no brakes. you after hit the brakes 10 seconds before

stampede vxlboy 11-10-2009 10:46 PM

anybody know how to set the brakes as i have set them to 100% .and the brakes are not good but my son madrat brakes are 10 times faster

sparrow.2 11-10-2009 10:54 PM

List of things to do:

1. Set the transmitter end points to 100% on the throttle and brake.
2. Run the setup routine on the speedo again to key it to your transmitter.
3. Set the brakes to 100% over the setup card.

Try this. If it doesn't work try and explain what happened when you went through the above steps.

I'm very puzzled about this.
As far as I know the car worked fine - but truth be told I don't tend to be one for slamming on the brakes anyway so I might not have noticed they weren't that good.
The same system in my D4 worked well though so don't think its the esc/motor. That said I can't think of any part in the B4 would prevent it stopping when you apply the brakes - its not like it has a one way!
Now it is possible the problem could lie in the radio set. I see no reason for that to be the case, but when I used the car I wasn't using that radio, so its the one thing I can't vouch for. But the radio worked fine in the Micro T so that seems unlikely too.
I'm pretty baffled, but I'm also sure that whatever the issue is, it should take seconds for the right person to spot and fix. Get to a club meeting and it will be sorted straight away - its too hard to sort over the phone/net but real easy to do first hand.

there no power know si

sparrow.2 12-10-2009 12:00 AM

Have you tried out what I wrote?

stampede vxlboy 12-10-2009 02:01 AM

power there but there no brakes . i dont know how to sparrow i did not get any instruction with it got off here and when you hit the power it starts squeaking and when you try and put the brakes on it squeals . if you could tell me step by set to set the esc to handset up plz . as my son madrat runs very nice now and the brakes with the ezrun 5,5 brakes are well fast. and the b4 just sound bad . i mite put rb5 spur gear on it slipper pads it stop all noise on the madrat.
there 27mhz handsets

If the B4 sounds bad accelerating and decelerating you probably have the gear mesh set wrong like a few people have told you already. The diff might be slipping or the gearbox might just be in need of a bit of TLC.

Here is the instruction manual for a speedo that has a similar setup routine to yours. Page two describes how to calibrate the speedo to your transmitter.

Follow what the manual said religiously and it ought to work. If it doesn't try the whole thing again with the throttle channel reversed.

thanks sparrow i am going to try it now but it just squeals when you hit the power and when you try and brakes it just squeaks

bigred5765 12-10-2009 10:26 AM

sounds like the diff ot slipper are slipping to much,

Big G 12-10-2009 10:48 AM

is the speedo set to forward/brake or forward/reverse?

I couldn't get on with it set to reverse when I tried it. I would try the same transmitter as the madrat one. if it had brakes in the madrat and then none in the B4 you can rule out the electrics and put it down to the chassis.

stampede vxlboy 12-10-2009 11:18 AM

yes the esc out of the b4 works fine in the madrat and motor works fine in the madrat but the b4 no brakes
