Lipo saddle packs ?

Anyone got any piccies / tips for getting Lipo saddle packs into the X11.
I've got the intellect (brca legal / size) packs and they almost fit, but catch on the prop shaft and on the front of the chassi where it curves in. Also looks like they will push the servo mounting back a bit too !

Any tips, I don't fancy the stick pack mods.

The Stick pack lipo mod is easier than trying to fit the saddles!!!!

You need to re-position the battery post's if i remember correctly... You will also find it doesn't handle as well as the stick pack converted cars.

Which is th main reason the stick pack mod has been kept.... it does look like alot of work but if i can do it anyone can. It really is easier than you think.

I''m not sure on the legal sizes but I asked a similar question when I 1st got my x11, at the time the trakpowers were the only cells available and they are slightly larger than the legal requirement, you may need to change to a low profile servo to give a bit more space.

I now run with stick packs as does almost everybody now, If you've got stick packs available to use I'd consider changing the car to fit these as the car handles better with them but saddles are fine.

There are a few photos in this thread hopefully if will clear up a few things http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15394

Cheers chaps.

Those pictures really help. Looks like i'll be drilling some new battery post holes and moving them back a bit. Shame i'll have to move the servo too.

Another question, it looks like lots of people run the low-profile servo. What are the blue mounts that screw into the servo and into the side of the chassis ? Are they a teamxtreme part, or something else ?

Cheers.

Andy.

andy the blue mounts are the origional mount post for the servo which you should be able to get from lewis/yanina at extreme pm mrs extreme on here buddy , as for the saddle set up again as spenner and bungelo have say the car is more balaced that way , low profile servo mount verical as you ve seen probably on some piccies but you can lay a standard servo down instead, but you ll be needing a micro reciever and a small speedo like the tekin buddy ,,,hope you get sorted
