Local Clubs near Leeds

Have been thinking about getting back into R/C racing again for sometime now. I used to race off road back in the day at Cleveland buggy club before concentrating more on saloons when TRCC got the permanant indoor facility. Like many people University drew me away from the hobby but now I am working and settled in Leeds and looking to finally get back into the hobby I should have done years ago.

I am pretty sure I would like to go back to my roots and pick up a buggy rather than a saloon. I have looked into local clubs (even been to a few during regionals). I know Batley is probably closest but would also like some information about numbers as I have no idea how popular the hobby is these days.

So looking for a club where I can get a feel for things again, and all going well start looking at competing in regionals and other events now I dont have to get my Dad to drive me around anymore

I live in Leeds and Batley is indeed the closest, regular club meetings attracting anything from 12 to 30. Bigger events more.

York indoor is also well worth going to, say 30-40 people each week

Bury (Manchester) is also reachable and popular.
