divx and user logins
 

OK, this is a long shot, buuuut...

On the kids computer, they have access to AVI movies, to watch, now, this is where it goes wrong. I have installed the DIVX codec on the pc, though my login (admin rights), and the movies play, in WMP, but when I log into one of the kids accounts, the video doesn't play, you have sound, but no picture, like the codec isn't working.

Any ideas?

install it on there login

change the kids to administrators, install codec then change back, have to do this on my daughters computer to get things working, some stuff just doesnt like being put in from just the admin account

good call, will do that tomorrow, if I got the time, my ears can't take the moaning!!

Failing that, right click exe file, goto run as administraitor, type your credentials in and then install it.
