Maybe Humber:)

Rebelrc 29-09-2009 07:49 AM

i think actualy its Hillman

DCM 29-09-2009 08:42 AM

Hillman I believe, a quick check on google images would confirm that.

DCM 29-09-2009 08:49 AM

After looking, I have no idea what badge it is

JWall3 29-09-2009 09:06 AM

my reliable source informs me that is a humber badge and the "h" is the way it is because there is something originating from around the humber - i know the rootes group factory was around there but thats it.

Its not a hillman badge - we own a hillman imp:thumbsup:

mambamax 29-09-2009 09:42 AM

humber

Humber was taken over by The Rootes Group during the 1930s.

bigred5765 30-09-2009 09:52 AM

looked through all 178 pages, it isnt on

tymill 30-09-2009 10:13 AM

wow - this is a real mystery... interesting!

I wonder if it might be from something other than a car? Tractor perhaps?

It might be a HINO lorry badge

H looks wrong

Spoolio 01-10-2009 06:38 AM

Got me stumped! It's not a Hudson badge. I've checked the old Holden badges, it's not one of them either. The Humber Snipe badge is sort of in the same area ie, delta-wing design but it's a flattened V so it's the other way round to yours and it'sgot Humber in it. Wonder if it's off a converted car eg, a Sunbeam Alpine Harrier the hatchback version of the Alpine sports car?

tymill 01-10-2009 07:23 AM

perhaps an old Hindustan motors badge?

The only logo I can find with a crossed "H" like that is Austin Healey - but alas that seems to always be in script. Could it be a variation though?

CBRDEAN0 01-10-2009 07:27 AM

Thanks for looking guys - gona keep trying.

It looks oriental style - the cross bar on the H looks a little like a roof in shape.

B&H Racing 01-10-2009 07:40 AM

I maybe wrong but I think it`s from the well known Hotpoint 2 Litre Turbo Injection Twin Tub GTI :woot:
