Bj4 pics

Just picked one up and have been cleaning it and rebuilding it so far, but it looks different with gold aluminuim on it and arms:confused: Anyway I just want to see pics of yours to get an idea compared to myn...Thanks Derek

Can you put some pictures up? We'll be able to let you know whats different, by the sounds of it any gold bits are non-stock, also aluminium arms are different and should be changed ASAP.

The pictures of the red car in the other thread look like it's 100% stock :)

got them up what do you guys think...as you can see still putting it together for cleaning. Post yours up guys!

That's standard apart from the alloy arms and wierd looking battery posts, the gold bits are the standard parts but anodized :)

drs92 28-09-2009 08:13 PM

So its good then? Also my cvds look like they are going to pop out lol is that how they are made...meaning they site at the edge of the drive cup? Post pics of your bj4's guys:thumbsup:

You should have one droop limiting plastic washer inside the rear shocks, the fronts you run without. The rear's will be close to the edge of the outdrive but they won't pop out as everything is so stiff.

is that the white round piece in the shock? Did i score good with this bj4?

anyone? Opinions? Lmk what you guys think

the car is fine, you just need to replace those alluminium arms to original plastic ones! get it set up and hit the track :)

I have to agree with the above post. Great Chassis. I still run my one indoor and outdoor. But replace the arms to the plastic ones :)
Enjoy your ride :)

Here are my pics of my BJ4 original. Have a Castle creations sidewinder and 5700Kv motor in it but will probably switch to a Novak system for next summer. Chassis is also a bit (Very slightly) twisted so I have a spare on the way. Run it on a large dry, dusty, blown-pout track out doors. 35W oil w/blue springs up front, 30W oil w/green springs in the rear. No major hop-ups at all. This buggy still runs fine for its age and is competative at a club level :)

Heres my BJ4, as can be seen in the mini corespondence I made in this section.

Loved this car to bits, quite gutted I got rid of it! Absolute tank and went like stink!

uglykidjoe 13-11-2009 01:25 PM

Hey Paul.
I thought I recognized that shell. Are you using one or two front shock towers? What a buggy. I remember trying to decide on a 4WD buggy that used a stick pack and this seemed the obvious choice. I love it :) I think I will try the solid shaft instead of the one way this season :)

LOL, I just paid baout $85.00USD (including 5 day shipping) for a new chassis for my original BJ4 off the Jconcepts site and I noticed they have the original kit for $300.00USD. Man, I could have just shelled out the extra 215.00 for the whole thing

Been considering another for when funds allow!
