Shocks settings indoor?

Any ideas for springs, pistons and oil? I'm on 3 hole all round with rears drilled to 1.4mm. Its got 40wt all round. Seems a tad stiff? Kit front springs and light green rears. All input gratefully received. Thanks.

Hi Sime,

I've gone kit springs at moment with 3 pistons all round with 35wt front & 30wt rear.
Not run it indoor yet but thats base setting I'm going to try at Mansfield hopefully this week if i get time.

depends on surface?, slippery, carpet, worksop rubber?, bury rubber?

Im running
front
2 hole pistons (not drilled)
30wt oil
light green springs (kit blue feels almost the same)
10k in diff

rear
3 hole pistons (not drilled)
25wt oil
kit blue springs
7k diff oil

Only tested outdoor (southport / batley), but it goes really well and it's probably what I'll start with indoor.

Cheers Rob. Have you drilled any of your pistons mate? I'm up this week with mine but prob only running in practice as I race Tamiya Minis there now.Mine seems stiff in its current setting.

Hi Stu. Its gonna be mainly carpet at Broxtowe next sunday. Any roll bars?

stuhurley 27-09-2009 05:51 PM

havent tried roll bars yet to be honest.

I'm just trying one thing at a time (tried the green and grey springs on the back with 25wt and didnt like it). I'll probably try 30wt in the back next and go heavier with the front diff oil

It sounds like indoor your going to have high grip?, in which case, I'd stick with the heavier oils for the diffs. You could try 35wt / 30wt with kit springs for the shocks
