Quality/Missing parts issues?

any one had missing parts etc

bit anoyed after spending my hard earnt to find bag C has the 6 3x12mm screws missing:mad:
hopefully they will turn up in another bag

sime46 25-09-2009 08:49 PM

I think there were one or two printing errors re locating screws in bags etc. I opened all the screw bags and put them all in one pot. No missing parts in mine. Hope this helps.

telboy 25-09-2009 09:17 PM

Yep did the same with mine mark, found them in another bag.
Does this a few time through the build. I just got used to it in the end, and just looked in the next bag.

mark christopher 25-09-2009 09:54 PM

jimmy 25-09-2009 09:56 PM

Screws are in a later bag, at least, mine were -

no need to panic - at least I had an excuse as I was building at 3am! :)

Alex H 25-09-2009 09:58 PM

Me as well. Just put every screw in one pot and in the end I got some screws left over....

WHITTLER555 25-09-2009 11:40 PM

jimmy 25-09-2009 11:59 PM

This kit looks amazing. It is the first batch from a brand new company trying to bring racers a pure race oriented car. They are not a huge company.

I wouldn't go knocking them just because you can't find a couple of screws straight away.

Besides it seems any un-forseen issues with individual kits, you contact TD or your hobby store and they sort it straight away.

I agree. In fact, i got EXTRA screws......:p. Anyway, other than screws in another bag, these were my kitting experience on the 410(would be great if TD is reading this;)):

1) Missing 1 x 2 hole shock piston
2) 2 x pivot ball of the anti-roll bar with stripped grub screw threads
3) Mismatched anodized colors of the 2 chassis side plate
4) Kit rear roll pins are way too short. Have already stripped both rear wheels.
5) Stripped Hitec(24) servo horn
6) Bearings leaking oil/grease

If anyone is interested, i got my kit from Hong Kong. Other than these hiccups, this fella has been a blast to drive. At more than 1700g, it really handles the off road terrain with authority and literally jumps like a 1/8 buggy.

Mismatched Colors (Definitely not a lighting issue)

Yeah, section 8 (page.21.) should be Bag E not D

you colour has to be a miss match of different batches, but mine is similar yours as do many in the other pics ive seen

hopefully durango will pick up on this thread and rectify for future kits, please note i did say anoyed not unhappy!!

Response from Team Durango

We take QC issues very seriously. We want everyone who races a Team Durango car to have the best possible impression of it. We are aware of some QC issues with the first batch of DEX410s and we are working hard to address these now. If you have parts that are defective, please contact your local Team Durango dealer and they will do evrything they can to help you.
Thank you for driving Team Durango.

Great, that's a very encouraging response from TD. Problem is, i don't have a local distributor in Singapore. And im not sure if the HongKong/Shanghai counterparts would take this up, any hints?;)
