What Do You Think About Having a Manufacturers Championship, Like F1?

What do you think?
Perhaps from the top 25 finishers (poss too many )

Just thinking out loud

That could be interesting, but I wonder if you would see much difference between the cars that the current champs run and the manufacturer that would top the table?

Dont 10th TC do something like this already?
Something roughly like each distributor supplies a team based upon a car with 3 members or something?

Dont know how well it was received, but I swear ive seen it.

Yup,
basically was setup so each team had six drivers, split 3 in each class (10.5 & mod).
Drivers were nominated at the start of the season, and scored points within a seperate championship for the purposes of the constructors cup.
Points award as 100 for top CC driver, then 99 for 2nd etc etc.... so you could have the top driver win the meeting, but the second CC driver in say third or fourth. Made it so that the CC points were just between the nominated drivers, to remove any confusion (and attempt to keep the points close!)

Was only the first year this year, and some refinements look like there gonna happen next year (i.e. penalties for mid season driver moves etc...)
