Tony, from memory, the front inner pin was the "U" bar, and i remember it being 1/8 all the way round?

RudeTony 15-09-2009 08:26 PM

You know you may be right there - I was driving for Schumacher back in those days and I do remember something similar.
I for sure though have schumacher front inner pins that are 1/8th and for sure have a step down on the front edge - if I rememeber right they use to slot in a front brace hence the step down on the pin
For the life of me I can't remember the exact car - I thought it was the 2000 CAT

Sounds like the Cat 3000/Fireblade rear pin to me. That was a straight 1/8 pin, with a step down (around 3mm long for a guess). I'd guess the step diameter was about 2.7mm ish?

Cat 2000 and 3000 definitely had a "U" shaped and bent (with kick up) front "pin".

Cat2000 front hinge pin

Tony,
My Cat2000, sits on the shelf. It definitively has a 'front pivot bar' (U shape). Have checked manual and the part no is U1484x.
I do infact have a spare one out of its' packet, a little tarnished, but fully functional. You can have it!
I shalln't be going to the F3s at Broxstowe, but could try to give it to one of the FORCC drivers tonight.

IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT
At least I admit
It's the REAR pins that I need.
My excuse is that I am getting old so everyone has to excuse me

So if anyone has some REAR pins I would be happy to purchase

NeilD 16-09-2009 02:29 PM

Tony, i've left a voicemail with a friend about the rear hinge pins for a CAT 2K. As soon as he gets back to me i'll let you know, he has loads of CAT stuff NIP.

RudeTony 16-09-2009 02:33 PM

Cheers cheers cheers - need more if anyone else has them!!!

NeilD 16-09-2009 02:35 PM

How many packs you after?

RudeTony 16-09-2009 02:42 PM

3 ish

NeilD 16-09-2009 02:52 PM

Ok, i'll get back to you asap.

NeilD 16-09-2009 03:52 PM

You have a PM.

MattW 16-09-2009 06:52 PM

rear pin from a 2000 was a relative std affair - 1/8 all the way down with e-clip grooves. The 3000 was stepped - see my post from last night.

Don't think I have any of either, just trying to help make sure you get what you're actually looking for!
