Ipod touch wireless hot spot connection

The Mrs. has got an Ipod Touch and every time she's been anywhere with free wifi (Mc D's etc) she's never been able to connect it. It always asks for a password, but the people always say there is no password required.

Anyone any idea what we need to do?

I have the same problem with my touch evertime i find a hot spot.

The only place i found i could access it nae problem was in Edinburgh airports aviance lounge.

Ive got the wifi track app on mine and its great at finding the hotspots but i can never connect to the as ive got to be logged into there spots.

I tried in the Travelodges aswell but you have to be registered on there sites.

Far as I know the free wi-fi idea is a pain - been plenty of similar spots myself and tried accessing with a lap top - same everywhere in that you have to sign up to n account

Bit of a pain all in all

some of these Free Wifi spots, require you to register on their site before being able to connect. Most are like registering for a forum and is fairly easy and only takes a couple of mins. I found that the McDs and KFC work fine with the Ipod Touch.

you dont need a password G, you should be taken to 'the cloud' or something.. this is mac d's wifi provider, you need to register to get the free wifi, enter in the username + password and alls good.
