gearing a 6.5/7.5
hi lads.
any-1 got a good idea on what pinion to use with the 6.5 and 7.5. i used a 18/72 with a 7.5 and it seemed to go nowhere at the bottom end of the power. top end was ballistic and did help to gainback what i was loosin in the more tighter sections. |
ashton used a 7.5 at the juniors. was geared 22/72. seemed more than quick enough and bundles of grunt

So your struggling for acceleration? 2 things i can think of.... Are your diffs tight enough? and... Is your slipper tight enough? If they both are then im stumped  |

to be honest, its not really the accelaration but the amount of travel you get at low revs.
a 20/72 will crawl smoothly at the low end of accelaration and then when you pin it its awsome. i'll check the diffs in the morning now so i'll pmyou 2morro. cheers tom..Alan |
dude get it in the 20 s mate and you ll be about right, what hands set and speedo are you running too

I think the losi exelorin is the problem.
I whas driving that speedo and had the same problem. then I putted a GM speedo and later onn a LRP and had lots off power any time and enny where. try putting it op the computer and update the software and than tray again. hope this helps. |
I used 18/81 in my B4 with 6.5T. Acceleration was excellent.
