As belsten said, rude bits for your brass tray and straps

Converting the shocks to the back involves turning the rear tower mount round to pull the shock tower/shocks back inline. Then you need to drill new holes in the rear of the wishbones. Next up you need to find a body post/mount and drill a hole to attach it on the top deck. People were using another rear tower mount for the wing mount support on the bottom.

I know this is an old thread, but what was the logic behind mounting the shocks onto the rear of the wishbone?

what were the pro's/con's versus kit?

I think the theory as I understood it from seeing the CAT SX mods was to add a bit more flex which would improve the handling over the bumpies

Do people still do this to the B44.1 does it work?

No

Why would you the b44 and b44.1 wins nearly all it enters with the correct driver why would you mod a perfect car ??????? Weird ?????

What are you on about?
FYI Ben is a team associated driver...

As far as I'm aware Ben (and the rest of the team) run their shocks on the std position now.

A few people did it on the B44 as some found it a bit nervous sometimes on the UK's higher grip surfaces (I did it to mine). It definately tamed it down but at the expense of the cars agility.

Strangely for the B44.1 it really isn't needed. For some reason the 44.1 is more forgiving than the 44. Don't know why but many people have said that.
So in short - if you have a 44.1 it's not worth doing.
