Whats the general method people use for dying wheels? I fancy some black wheels on my losi!

With Dylon use an old pan with simmering, not boiling, water in, plonk in the wheels add the dylon give it a stir and wait around 10 minutes stirring now and again. Fingers crossed nice new dyed wheels.

does it work on yellow wheels, e.g. if they are yellow to start with?

Also, can I tie die em?

OldTimer 02-04-2007 12:32 PM

Yes it works on yellow wheels, i do use two pots of dylon to make it extra strong, and don't forget to add the salt.

tc2k 02-04-2007 12:58 PM

What dylon do you use, is it a certain type?

OldTimer 02-04-2007 04:44 PM

I use the Dylon Multi Purpose from http://www.chaffinch.com/

And when i do wheels i bring the water almost to the boil then leave to cool right down, if the colour is not there, then just repeat.
