RC Mart back orders.

I would have thought they'd keep your order going until they've sent the parts - unless you ask for a refund yourself of course.

???
It's your money and their service is prompt and friendly. Simply ask if they know when they'll get new stock. |
Apex once kept an item on back order for me for 8 months! It was a dual rate spring tuning set that was supposed to come with a load of other stuff. Everything else came, I stuck with normal springs and totally forgot about the order.
Months later after I'd sold the car it was for, this package arrived from Apex.... |

Two quick things guys,
1. Nowhere is supposed to charge you before you get your goods, it is against credit card rules anywhere you go, 2.With regards to how long things stay on back order, it is up to the customer to cancel a "back order" if it is no longer required and not to assume it isnt coming any longer. At our shop we never cancel a back order, some people get the hump if somthing comes just days after it was first ordered and others are absolutley "thrilled" (literally) if somthing turns up "months and months" after being first ordered (due to a supply change or supply shortage etc). Point is everyone is different and everyones requirements are different so dont leave it to chance unless you have specified otherwise (ie it will not be required if not in stock by next monday etc) or it is in the trading terms of the store you are dealing with that they will cancel after an elapsed time. |

If you pay with paypal the money is gone - there's no option there I guess for the shop? I've had things like springs on order from modelsport (in otley) for MONTHS before receiving them - I'd totally forgotten and it was like christmas. Needless to say, that was a Tamiya part - and anything non-standard takes Tamiya UK months to get.

The Hobby Company???????? Do they still exist  LOL
We closed our account with them in the end since the whole outfit from the management right down through to the sales staff are nothing short of useless (and that is an insult to the very meaning of useless) Shame, but DMS for one, thanks totally to the Hobby Co is and will be a Tamiya free zone from now on when stock runs dry......... |

I'm kinda surprised you had a problem... I been getting items from them for about 2 years no worries... never had to back order as it has always been in stock... PLUS exceptional delivery times considering where they are!!
Ah well, glad you got sorted quickly at the end of the day.. |
