Stampede, which one is it? There are short and long ones on the B4. If you could say which part of the B4 it came from that will help someone to hopefully help you.

The madrat is metric and the b4 is imperial so the threads are different. You need the Hot Bodies D4 ball studs. Look on the Hot Bodies web site and get the part numbers for the lengths you need then search ebay or order them from your local hobby shop.

Good advise, Mark

I have a bunch of Hot Bodies rod ends.

How many do you need.

I have all the D4 ones, all are new and have never ran on a car.

If you need more info on them, please go to www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk they have a lot of pics for Hotbodies gear.

The length of the ball cup is the same as the b4 length so it should be fine!

stampede vxlboy 07-09-2009 12:13 AM

have you got any ?

MRD 07-09-2009 11:15 AM

I think there's a bit of confusion here. By the sound of it he already has the ball cups (rpm whites) but they wont fit the larger ball studs on his madrat so he needs the standard size ball studs so he can use the rpm ends he has. Like I said before the ones for the job are the hot bodies D4 ones so if anybody has any spare ball studs (not ball cups) then thats what he needs.

If I've got this straight though, if he's trying to retrofit imperial (smaller) ball studs onto pre used metric (larger) places then won't the threads be too large already. Surely you'd have to keep the larger ball studs and buy new plastic cups.

Personally what I'd do is walk into a model shop and ask them to sort it out. From geographical location I've seen in other threads I'd go to MB models in Leeds as Bally knows his onions and will sort it all out.
