Part # for the pullies a16m021df6004,
the flages has to be turned down to 5/8", and the set screw flange had to be CNC'd to fit into the 8mm ID of the layshaft bearing. I couldnt find a bearing to fit with OEM OD, but 10mm ID. I will be testing today. And the belts are 72t for the short ones. The main front belt it a 323 MXL, but if you uses the MMS front gear like I do, the belts they suppliy are to wide, or to narrow. I do have DIRECT contact info for Bando the original supplier of the drive belts. I will be calling them after the holiday.

But cant they just cut them in to the right width.
When i talked to http://www.beltcorp.com/ they said they could just cut them into the right width.

So the lazer could have the 3,5 mm front belt.

Yup anythings possible, as long as the belt is the same length and the pulley is also the same diameter it can have any pitch that you want.

I would seriously be up for passing on an LA11 layshaft gear for it to be made from alloy. I have a few contacts so would be very interested in finding out if its possible, especially with the little flanges within.

Again this is what they had available. They do have stock in the toothed part of a pulley it comes in 4" long part. It is possible to machine any way you want from there. They also sell the flanges. As long as your CNC'st can work with this product, then it should be easy to make it as you want. I went the easier of the two, and adapted what was premade. THe pullies was a direct fit, in width, tooth count, and inner bore size. just minor machining require to install.

I ran my Procat on the track today, and the car worked flawlessly. It is just as fast as the B44's and Lazer FS's runing 10.5 brushless, and I am running 17.5 brushless preparing for our Vintage Nationals in two weeks.

Aluminium pulleys

Hi Raul

Where did you get your machining done for the pulleys?

I run a Schumacher slipper - would the pulley hub intefere with the slipper "hub"?

Raul Garcia 04-02-2010 10:34 PM

they were purchased from stock drive products.com they were from their inventory, but some fabrication to make work. Good luck.

kaszal 05-02-2010 08:12 AM

Thanks Raul... but did SDP do the extra machining or did you get it done elsewhere? Basically if I bought the same parts where could I get them machinined to fit?

kaszal 21-08-2010 02:35 PM

My alloy pullies arrived from SDP.

1. I've found a 10x16x5 to fit the diameter of the pulley shaft but I will need to shorten the length. Will 1mm off each one do it?

2. The holes in the pulley don't line up with the holes in the layshaft. There's two grub screws in each pulley - will these grip the bare layshaft enough or should I get new holes drilled in the layshaft?

I'm also trying their 6mm urethane belts part No. A 6B16M071060
