Lipos in b44

Hi,

I've just bought Some 4800 trakpower saddles

How are people plopping them in there b44?

Any suggestions welcome!

You need to use a LIPO tray to replace the battery trays in the car

Rudebits do a nice brass one to keep the weight low.

Associated do a carbon fibre version

Cheers what's the part no. For the AE carbon ones?

Ive got the associated carbon tray , retails for around 18.99

Its a nice piece of carbon , however on reflection the brass ones probably a better bet as you could do with the weight to balance the b44 when jumping/ landing.

Mines is nose diving at the moment , perhaps down to the mid44 chassis.

mid44 with lipo?

I have the Rudebits lipo tray, I'd go for that for the extra £6, you will need the weight with lipo batterys. Most of the AE team use the Rudebits tray so it
must work!!

Are you still running your throttle EPA at 75%?
And you do realise that 4800's in a B44 is gonna make that thing of your bloody fast dont ya?

Ashley 02-09-2009 08:33 AM

Well I got a 5.5 now and ran that a kiddy on 100%

Will be turning EPA down

I know 4800's will be fast

c0sie 02-09-2009 08:35 AM

Ashley 02-09-2009 08:41 AM

Haha got plenty of wishbones

Ashley 02-09-2009 12:42 PM

looked at the diggity desgin trays and stand offs are they good?

c0sie 02-09-2009 12:44 PM

I cant remember if you can fit the 4800 in with the standard battery standoffs or not.

The tray is ok, same as the AE one really, but the standoffs are taller.

TBH, you might as well get the Rudebits tray and then use spacers to raise the AE standoffs.

Alot of guys are using the Rudebits tray cos its ace :)

Big G 02-09-2009 12:48 PM

The AE tray works perfectly with my Reedy 35c 4200 lipos. don't need any washers to raise the posts or anything.

cheers all ill have the rude bits ones get paid friday so will order hopefully will e-mail rude tony!

ex-sco77morgan 02-09-2009 12:54 PM

You 100% need longer battery posts

I'm sure I have some somewhere I'll dig them out and take a pic

Use the original blue Alu posts but need a longer screw going into it with washer at top to stop it pulling through battery strap

Ashley 02-09-2009 12:56 PM

cheers scott are you still using them?

if not you want sell them?

c0sie 02-09-2009 12:59 PM

The TP4800's are 30mm shorter than the Reedy's and 31g lighter as well :)

Ashley 02-09-2009 01:02 PM
