Winter Racing

I know it seems like a long way off, but the last organised club meeting is on the 27 September 2009, so what are people's plans for racing over the winter months?

Are people interested in racing :-

1) at Kellers indoors on a Sunday afternoon / evening if the club will cater for an off road heat?

2) travelling to where ever is hosting a winter series ie Stotfold, Eden Park, Coventry etc?

3) having a winter off?

4) Seeing what the weather is like and racing outside at Rackheath when the weather is good?

Unfortunately I am going to have to sit on the fence ....football commitments....work etc. But for me sellers indoors would work better but still would not be able to do every meet... Like the idea of travelling but don't think I will be able. ...like outdoors but don't want to keep letting you all down. So for me the option has to be kellers

I thought you said you were giving the football up after last season ended!?!?!?

If enough people will go then Kellers is a nice afternoon racing, although it would be good for obvious reasons if more buggy drivers attended.

Now started last season...Under 16's....

I think we will carry on through the winter with one meeting a month, as if we have a dry winter we are only talking 4 or 5 meetings before spring:woot:. That leaves 3 other sundays to race indoors and if the weather is pants we will just scrap the racing that sunday........unless we all get tamiya lunchboxes, then we can race in any weather..inc snow Yeaaaa:thumbsup::lol:

How many people do you get on a average race day, me and my son still can't make are minds up to go for off road, touring car style cars!

Like the buggy style cars more, more choice aswell, but don;t want to spend loads of money for the track to disappear.

I have to admit that I haven't been to a club meeting since the start of the year, when I laid out the track but thats primarily due to my regional and national commitments for racing and I simply can't fit everything in.

I enjoy buggy racing and if I am honest after trying touring car racing I find it more enjoyable, more friendly, equally competitive and the added bonus is that you can take your car to the local park and drive it round on the grass there to.

Best thing I can recommend is to pop along to a club meeting at trowse on a sunday night to see what the touring car guys do and at the end of the month pop along to an NBC club meeting at Rackheath. Just keep an eye on here as to who will be there and when it starts etc

That does look a good track, but a tad to far for a winter meeting for me, well unless I win the lottery!!

Indoor racing.

Hi All,
For those wishing to do some buggy racing Jan 10th 2010, i have organised a buggy heat at Trowse (kellers). So far there are 5 entrants, Carl, myself and 3 from Kellers. If you wish to race just turn up with your buggy @ 5-5.45pm on the Sunday @ the YMCA sports hall.

Sounds like a good idea to me, what with the weather and the like although I am not committing myself to going. I'll see if I can get hold of Scott and Scott as they might be interested in racing indoors to.
