West Midlands Indoor Racing

Hi People,

I was wondering if there were any big indoor championships running over the winter in the midlands area, i wouldnt mind doing 2wd or tourers? I've seen the CML indoor league at Stafford which runs over the winter on Sundays. Is there anything for buggies?

Hi mate,

Give us a shout tomorrow night at the club if you're there and I'll go through the below:

Basically, the Mid West run the Midland Astro Masters at Coventry and Kidderminster but that is outdoors. Dudley tend to run an indoor series but I've never been there. Not sure of any more off road indoors meetings/series and don't know the On Road sceen well enough.

Bury Metro (Manchester) run a cracking Indoor Series over 7-8 rounds, I can highly recommend this for indoor racing.

Southport also run every week as a club meeting indoors every week (On & Off Road I believe) and host their Indoor Grand Prix which is always a good meeting

Wirral Model Car Club and Ellesmere Port used to run a Winter Classic Series and I think that may still be on

A bit further a field is the Schumacher Indoor Masters in Worksop

As I said, give us a shout tomorrow

How long ago did they stop?? I raced at the original ones back in the Civic Hall, they were the days..........

Are Wirral still racing in Neston on Tuesday do you know?

Dep 26-08-2009 08:18 PM

Thats a shame, the closer it is the less I need to spend on fuel thus the more I can do!

V12s, blast from the past!! Do they all have brushless systems in now?? They used to be fairly slow when I raced them!!!

stegger 27-08-2009 10:10 AM

Yeh most of them are running brushless :woot: doesn't do a lot for the chassis

Lee 27-08-2009 11:07 AM

Proline dirt arena are running a Sunday winter series I believe. Its in Bicester just off the M40 so easy and quick to get to from Midlands. Takes me only half hour from Leamington. Also club meets on Weds night. Its great fun, give it a go. The proline dirt tyres don't seem to wear at all wierdly so should be cheap on that front.
