What tyres/inserts for wet grass 4WD?

Running on grass at weekend with my FS, any tyre recommendations? Currently have Schu yellow minispikes front and rear and a set of blue rears if need be....someone suggested full spikes to me??

Ballistic green spikes would be best on wet grass. TR32's are the best on the rear but are very rare to find these days.

a normal medium insert will be fine

Thanks just ordered some ballistic green spikes online hope to get them in time!

Blue full spikes can be a pretty decent super-wet weather tyre too - I know they set some very fast times at the wet regionals in the North East last year.

It's always good sport to watch the tyre boxes get opened up when the rain comes down... you see some really unusual tyres that people have been hiding away. Obviously the gold standard is the TR32 (why have CML never asked Yokomo to remanufacture these?), but I've also seen the old Tamiya spire spikes from the Top Force, and some unusual long-spike Yokomo 2wd fronts.

Agree - green Ballistics in the wet, or Schumacher Blue Full Spikes when it's really wet & muddy.

yes, the old tamiya tyres were quite similar to a TR32, a lad in my old region used them once to good effect.

the obvious question i missed was does the club have a nominated tyre policy at all? Or if it's a regional again with a nominated policy, as this will limit your choices to normally a Sch mini-spike, or BB spike.

No tyre rules up here at the moment.

Hi Dave, how are you? It's Dan Rowlands here from Stonehaven club, long time no speak!

wet grass: I then run Schumacher Full SPikes Yellow on my Pred.
