BW-RACING modified layshaft

BW-RACING will have a NEW product on sale soon ;) But like last time with the brace i want to gauge interest ;)
We are having the spur gear layshafts turned down so you can use LOSI or ASSOCIATED spur gears.
This has a number of advantages:-
1/ Proper slipper action

2/ No more warping and melting of the original spur

3/ Cheeper spur gears and avalibility

4/ Wider choice of ratios

5/ No more reaming out of AE or LOSI spurs to get the advantages (no modifiying needed)

There will be 2 options

1/ Brand NEW layshaft with threaded end and locknut for easier spur gear changing (instead of small button headed screw)

2/ Your own layshaft sent to BW_RACING for refurbishment and sent back to you 7 to 10 day turnaround.

Pricing and more details to follow shortly, but please give feedback
Thanks for looking BW-RACING

This sounds great.
Option 1 looks like a way to go for me and other international racers - less problems with postal service.

This is a 78t Associated spur, the other advantage i found is that the motor sits further back helping put weight over the rear wheels. I don't know what people's thought are over this about what size spur's to use
Now the NEW layshafts will not be with me until next thursday (27/08/09) at the earliest, and i go on holiday the following tuesday :p. The first order is for 10 so pm me to get on the list please. ;)

Prices are as follows.

Option 1: NEW layshaft, modified, screw insert and locknut. £15

Option 2: Your own layshaft sent to me for modification, screw insert and locknut. £10

Usual postage and packing will be UK=£1.50, Europe=£2.00 and rest of world= £3.00

stegger 23-08-2009 09:39 PM
