How good is this Team Durango DEX410 ??

Genuine question is it going to live upto the hype? I've ordered one and I'll give it a bash but whats the thoughts of the EXPERIENCED drivers

GRIFF55 12-08-2009 04:31 PM

Not experienced it,but i think it looks pretty good with just one driver in the uk at the mo. Very pretty:drool:

DaveG28 12-08-2009 04:32 PM

TBH I don't think anyone can answer that yet, the retail version hasn't been running long enough to say.

ex-sco77morgan 12-08-2009 04:35 PM

Is that clip holding the spur gear in place going to be ok ??

Alfonzo 12-08-2009 05:02 PM

Who knows dude? You'll be one of the first to try it out :woot:

Seriously though, all the engineering on it looks good, I'm sure it'll be lovely.

it doent hold the spur gear in place, it holds the top part off the slipper assembly mount in place!!
why would it not work? body clips hold cells in!

My humble opinion would be, that if you are looking to gain experience at Nationals and Regionals next year as a reletively new racer to the scene the DEX might not be the best car for you to start your development on really?

Admittedly it gives me a raging hard-on everytime I see it, and Id sell my soul to have one, but you will enter each National/Regional as a minority with very very few people to bounce ideas off for setup.
Add into the equation the act that you'll be running geared diffs whereas everyone elses expereince will be from ball diffs you're setting yourself very high hurdles.

Just my opinion, for what its worth, but as much as the DEX is fecking lush and will probaly revolutionise the 4WD scene, your B44 would probably give you more chance to race and learn rather than spend all day battling to find your setups on your own?

My 2pence worth :)

MatJohnson 13-08-2009 01:27 PM

Its still only ever going to be as good as the driver.

ex-sco77morgan 13-08-2009 01:29 PM

Thanks Chris buddy and I think your spot on to be honest. Will get one and leave it in box to be looked at only

I think all DEX410's should come with a pocket sized Skelders so that he can help you out at club or Natonal :D
