2009 All Japan Championship

IMHO, this is normally the second most difficult and important 1/10 electric off road race in the world, behind the Worlds and ahead of the ROAR Nationals. Like both of those other races, it's one race for all the marbles.

All four Japanese magazines cover it like a blanket, and the Japanese manufacturers consider the All Japan the supreme test. Drivers literally practice 6-8 months 6 days a week to get ready.

Results were sent to me by our Japanese importer, Team AJ. Yuichi Ajishi-san, owner of Team AJ, finished 5th in 2WD and 15th in 4WD. Many top factory drivers from companies that make 4WD but not buggy drove X - 6 Squareds. We had 3 in the top 11 and 5 of the top 20. Very proud of the Team!

2WD Result

1(3) Kouta Akimoto (KYOSHO RB5 SP)
2(1) Naoto Matsukura (ASSOCIATED B4)
3(9) Hayato Matsuzaki (ASSOCIATED B4)
4(10) Satoshi Maezumi (X-FACTORY X-6Sq)
5(6) Yuichi Ajishi (X-FACTORY X-6Sq)
6(8) Shinnosuke Adachi (KYOSHO RB5 SP)
7(2) Sinya Kimura (ASSOCIATED B4)
8(5) Akira Suzuki (ASSOCIATED B4)
9(7) Yusuke Sugiura (KYOSHO RB5 SP)
10(4) Hiroshi Suzuki (ASSOCIATED B4)

The numbers in ( ) shows the quolifing positions.

11(14) Kai Kikubhi (X-FACTORY X-6Sq)
13(13) Kazuki Sasatsu (X-FACTORY X-6Sq)
18(17) Minoru Utsugi (X-FACTORY X-6Sq)

Kazuki Sasatsu, the young man who drove the Durango in 4WD, took 13th with an X - 6 Sq.
