Charging a transmitter battery

hello,

A bit of advice please, I have brought a 2600mAh Ni-MH transmitter battery pack and i brought a lead to charge it from my 12v charger. my question is how long should it take to charge and should my charger cut off once charged (Orion Advantage Clubman DC Charger) because I had on for an hour and it hot and still charging!!!

Thanks

if its HOT turn it off
should just be lightly warm to the touch

What charge rate did you put it on? It's capable of 1-10 cells so should be fine. The Futaba Rx connectors are only rated to take 2-3A, higher than this will cause high resistance and will cause high temps all round when charging.

I have it at 2A, i take it i should be setting the charger at 2600mAh as thats what the battery is??

2A should be fine. From completely flat it should take 1.3 hours (about an hour and 20 minutes). The charger should peak-detect, so should cut off.
