zero bump steer with 30deg caster

Hi,

What is the correct setup when you want zero bump steer when using 30deg caster blocks?

Currently I run 2 gold washers at the steering spindle ballstud (outside) and a short neck ball stud at the steering link (inside).

Kind regards,

wouter

Sounds about right. I never used to use washers on the inside (bellcranks) end of the link, just two washers at the hub/axle end.

Depends on the axle height too. If in the middle, it should be two 30thou spacers on the spindle, silver ballstuds.

If the spindle is in the middle, and you haven't got loads of washers stacked up under the inner camber link ball, 1 washer ought to do it. Would have been 2 if both ball studs were silver ones.

There's an easy way to check: if the steering link is parallel to the wishbone, it's good.
