X6 long CVD's on B44??

Could this be done to stop drive shafts popping out??

Lee 28-07-2009 04:30 PM

Why are they popping out, i have never seen this on a B4

peetbee 28-07-2009 04:31 PM

Yes, the associated CVDs are the same between B4 and B44 and it's only the axle that changes for the X6.
I'm surprised you're having that big a problem with the CVDs popping out though?

Does the B44 not use a different style of CVD?

I assume you'd need to run the X-Factory axles and the std B4 bone to get the right set-up, but as Lee said I've never heard of any B44 owners having this problem.

It's my B44 and was told it's quite common only happened twice to me but if it can be stopped then great !!

Nope, B4 bones are longer.
And they are too long for the B44, they hit the diff nut.

Exactly. Been on mine since Taly without a problem.

you also run a .30 spacer in the rear shocks so the wishbones dont droop as much which also prevents the shaft popping out

ex-sco77morgan 28-07-2009 07:03 PM

Thanks guys will put spacer in shocks and do a bit of shimming :D
