madrat

VXL boy -

think it could be the flux capacitor in the esc thats gone....sometimes freezing it for 10minutes can sort this problem out

c0sie 28-07-2009 12:42 PM

Try throwing a dictionary at the MadRat.....if that fails try reading the dictionary and then come back here and tell us what happened :)

We'll all be able to read your post, understand your post, and help you out then :) :)

If you don't get on with the MadRat that's fine - John Price got 5th in the A final at Bury Regional last weekend first time out with the car but that's beside the point. Your problem (electrics) is nothing at all to do with the car.............. You need to trace the problem one bit at a time - make sure your ESC is providing power, make sure you've got things plugged in correctly. If you want help then people will help - if you just post random comments about stuff being 'not very good' then it's not gonna solve your problem.

Chris, allow me to translate, I speak vxlboy (not fluent but enough to get by...):

Hello Everyone,

Can anybody help me with a problem I have? The problem is with my receiver when it is in my MadRat, it appears as if it has no signal and doesn't work. When I try it in my other cars they're fine - all work fine with it. I hope someone can help me please.

Thanks

Good work Ian!

Stampede, do you have a club local to you? I would suggest you take it along to their next meeting and ask the regular racers to take a look for you, or a local shop. I don't think you will get a lot of joy on here unless you can state the problems clearly so people can understand what you are asking for.

Iz a spaze kadet like a limited edishun opel kadet then?

Seriously, (although it's hard to resist taking the p**s - what the hell are the schools teaching them in English classes now? Please don't tell me he is a teacher :woot:) has vxlboy tried taking the speedo from his Traxxas - seeing as he knows that works OK with that receiver - and plopping it in the Madrat? As battery power goes through the speedo to the receiver if he has a faulty speedo it may prevent adequate current getting to the receiver leading to the mysterious loss of "singal" (sorry couldn't help it, it's like shooting fish in a barrel).

I mean, there ain't a lot else it can be really, unless of course the car has some sort of weird ass voodoo curse on it. But I think weird ass voodoo shizzle costs quite a bit and I don't think Ansmann's business model took account of that sort of thing when they set the price below £50 :p.
