What car to buy

Hi, My son has shown interest in buying a car. I see on the bury site that 1/8 cars are the most popular. I live near Bury, so thats probibly where I would take him. So now my question is, as a total newbie, what car do you recomend that I buy my son, he's 12. I would appreciate any advice, as I dont want to waste money on a car that cant be used properly on the track. Thanks. Geoff

gotta be Associated IMO... B4 for 2WD or B44 for 4WD... velly tuff as old boot as they say...! lots of good priced spares too if reqd and by far the most popular manufacturer at club tracks and beyond...

Team Associated... yeah, go for it!

yout prob best off with one of the hobao range of bugies "say a hyper 8.5 or even a 7" both come rtr n the 8.5 can be got as a brca edition too which should be a good starter! theyre tough and as ben rielys proven are competitive plus they can be upgraded as skill/ funds allow

Hi,

I'm not a member at Bury but I'd recommend you go down there when they're racing .. check their website; and have a chat the guys (Stu and Roger?)

They'll be able to give good advice.

I think thy run multiple classes there.

I race at Southport and we only run 1/10 electric. In which case your best bet would be an Associated RC10 B4. 2wd buggy THE most popular buggy lots of peole will be able to give advice.

If you go for 1/8th I cant help but people at the track who race them will help.

Cheers,

Ian
