Spacing for BK2 axles?
Hi all, Ive just got a secong hand X6 but when I tighten the wheel nuts it becomes unfree. It has the bk2 axles and has 1 bearing on the outside of the hub as it should but for some reason it has 2 bearings in the inner hub. Is this correct as I think this is where my problem comes from? How are you meant to space the axles and with what on the inner part?
Hope this makes sense!!! |
The extra bearing on the inside works for us........ cannot be of any more help

There's a (B4) alu spacer that goes inside the hub between the 2 original bearings. I bet it's missing.

I suspect as ever that Elvo is spot on........

When you use the BK2 axles you also need a losi spacer on the inside of the inside bearing (if that makes sense?!?!?) to keep the wheel spaced out far enough to tighten up properly.
That losi spacer is the same width as the wheel bearings so I've heard of people using bearings instead...so 3 bearings on each axle, as well as the associated spacer in the hub...which sounds like what you have? |
