XXX-CR

Been having some problems with my xxx-cr used it twice now and i just seem to be cooking motors, so bad that one of the brush shunts desoldered itself. I'm guessing it's down to the copper shims in the diffs giving a litle bit to much slip, I'm going to try it next week without them and just shim the diff on the outdrives.
Has anyone else had any problems with this?

What motors are you using, make, wind. also what gearing are you using and what batterys.

The diff shims won't cause your motor to desolder it's self there is some thing else wrong there, more than likely with the motor.

Used 3 motors so far on the following gearing 10x1 22/78, 10x2 23/78, 19t 24/78 with IB3800's indoor carpet track

Just noticed this on another thread is this correct as i didnt have any clear grease in my kit just the Creamy colored stuff so i used associated clear grease on both diff balls and thrust.

bigred5765 05-03-2007 07:27 PM

clear is silcone grease for diff balls
white thrust race only

that might be my problem then the diff may be slipping when heating up under load and over revving the motor. looks like i need to do a rebuild anyone used associated black grease on their losi thrust race.

I use the Losi clear grease on the diff balls, shims and plates and associated black grease on the thrust race
