Darren,

FDL UK will not sort this for Griff, as it was brought directly from Mirage (not a shop) on a team account...

they said that there isn't alot they can do as it has been looked at by mr bailey on behalf of mirage. It can be sent to them but doubtful if anything more will be done. I suppose because mirage set the wheels in motion it should be up to them to see it through. Nevermind, i'll try and get this sorted direct with orion.
Its a shame as the orion products are really good but then let down with aftersales. (i'm guessing its the distributor changeover thing again:()

You either deal with Orion or you dont in my opinion. When you take over a brand you take over the good the bad and the ugly. You get the new product range and the new sales but you should also look after the existing clients with your products already.

We have had several warranty type issues with X-Factory from the previous importer but it is now our duty to deal with them, just the same as Jamie at SMD has to deal with all LRP units sold by Horizon..

It probably has more to do with the fact that Derek has looked at it and is not authorised by Orion to do so........

Agreed, but no harm in trying. Cheers all for the comments and help
