Core RC connector tube - how to?

I've just bought some of these connectors, I'm just wondering how on earth I connect them to the wires?

solder the wire in to the small hole in the back of them, or if you want the wire to lay flat, solder it over the hole at a 90 degree angle over the end,

Do I feed the wires through the plastic sheath first, then solder them into the back of the connector, then push the connector back into the sheath where it should 'click' into place?

Yes, exactly that:)

Done, really easy as well. Apart from the ESC cables which are very thick and caused a few problems.

I filled the connector with solder, then put some solder on the ends of the cables. I held the connector with long lose pliers against the cable, with the soldering iron in the side of the connector, the heat transfered through and melted the solder and the connector slid over the cable.
