can you modify a mini-t/rc18t battery?

ok, the title may seem a little more weird than i mean it to be, basically i have bought a rc18t and there is no charger with it, would it be possible to modify the battery for it to a tamiya connection and hook it up to the charger for the 1/10th style cells? the battery is 7.2 jus like the 1/10th, wot you think

What charger is it has it got ajustable charge rate (ampage) and what are the micro packs are they nimh or nicad. I charge my micro packs off my orion advantage an i ued to off my old basic charger but it depends if yo can charge at 1amp. or 1.5

Also if you run standard micro connectors these have a tendancy to melt so i would recomend changing them for deans connectors. And as for charging you can make an adapter for about 2 quid all the bits you would need you could get off ebay. You would have a tamiya plug one end and a deans or micro connector the other.

i use a fast 5amp charger for my 1/10th cells, would this fry the mini batteries? i was thinking if i changed the mini connectors to a tamiya one on the car, and one on the cells, it mite work, instead of me buying a charger tht takes 4 hours to do it.

5 Amps / don't do it on micro packs

no more than 2amps max

what charger do you use?

I use a eagle CDC for doing the mini packs (as well as all my batteries) and set it to 1amp charge rate - 5 amps would kill it quickly.

I just built a couple of packs for a FTX Blaze loan car from CML (for the micro challenge) and will use deans on it since I have none of those mini connectors lying around.
