Tamiya Acrylic Thinner

Well, Tamiya don't import this stuff anymore apart from the tiny 10ml bottles. I want the big plastic tubs that hold about 250ml and cost about a fiver. Anyone know any shops with this in stock? Can anyone get me any? anyone?!!? help! lol

I use it for airbrushing and my skills have slided since I ran out.

If you are after tamiya x-20a acrylic thinners try `ANTICS` they sell this in 250ml bottles

i have checked the price on the bottles and it is £4-50, i bought some recently so i know they stock it.
hope this helps.

I had a look and couldn't find it on their website? :( I searched the part number and by name and nothing??!

antics product code is 2609808

jimmy 17-06-2009 01:26 PM

Bums, it's sold out (never ever to be restocked lol) online :cry::cry:

I guess I need to go to some model shops and see if I can find anywhere still stocking it before it's all gone. I've had my eye out for a couple of years but rarely make it to any model shops and when I did I just assumed it was out of stock not discontinued.

i have 3 bottle`s if you are desperate

jimmy 17-06-2009 01:52 PM

Yeah I don't suppose I could purchase one off you could I bud? I get pretty naff results from my airbrush without thinning it properly with the Tamiya stuff - and I'm not used to anything else

brian s 17-06-2009 01:57 PM
