stick pack chassis

any news of xtreme doing the stick pack chassis of are they holding to the saddle design?

cheers.

read somewhere that they just had finished the plastic X11-chassis (for a X11-xrs) ... and it being not very likely putting new energy in yet another new chassis.

On the subject of Predator chassis' (and I don't own, just curious), would there be a benefit in having a saddle pack chassis more similar to most other current 4wds? ie: cells at the back and motor in front of them.

This would mean the slipper is now in the middle (requiring a split propshaft) but I always thought that it would be a good layout to test.

Ive heard the same as lowie... because the plastic chassis has recently been finished, there isnt much point in making a stick lipo one at the moment...

All it takes is a few extra holes, and if you want to you can fill in the battery slots

On the point of making a chassis similar to a B44... Ive wondered that too... im tempted to try it with my old chassis but its what drive shafts to use etc etc and if it would all fit... im guessing it was designed cells at the front for a reason though

I think it would place the weight too far forward on the chassis - with the gearbox up front - moving the motor and slipper up there would make it very front heavy, probably take away traction because the lighter lipo battery is in the back.

If I remember right when the BJ4 moved the batteries from stick to saddle in the back it was to take advantage of the weight of the batteries on the rear of the car.

With regard to chassis:
As mentioned above the Team X have only just produced the plastic chassis to add as an option to the graphite. I believe there will be a Lipo chassis later in the year if it is concrete this is the way to go.
As said above the current/Plastic chassis can be made lipo friendly with some milliput and 3 holes drilled. Thats how easy it is.
