Ansmann X-Pro & Mad Rat Package Deal

Hi all,

It's become clear over the past few days by reading posts that the X-Pro and Mad Rat are a good package when bought together, you can race the X-Pro and the Mad Rat can be kept for spares backup.

We are going to offer oOple users a discounted price of £170 for an Ansmann X-Pro Kit and a Mad Rat Kit when bought at the same time. All you have to do is give us a call or e-mail us for this low price.

And as a heads up, we will be creating one of our screw kits for the models as well as one of our bearings kits. We just need to list the screws and wait on a re-supply of 5x10x4 bearings.

If you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact us and have a good weekend.

Many thanks,

Ryan @ JE Spares.

Awesome, thanks Ryan!
I bought my madrat from JEspares and can't wait to give it a run, I think mr.Long is dropping it off tomorrow.

Yeah Jimmy thanks for the order. Chris said he was bringing it to you at the weekend, hows about that for service!

Dont want to put JeSpares down in any way, but Mad rat's are of a lower quality plastic and metal. Using parts off the mad rat would downgrade your x-pro in quality terms.

Main difference between the 2 cars are:

Mad rat uses pure plastic and the x-pro uses graphite in the mix

Metal components like cvd's are hardened better on the x-pro

Thanks for letting me know this, I haven't had a look over the cars yet so didn't realize the plastics were different.

I really see the extra Mad Rat as more of a donor car. If you do break something you will have a replacement that is going to keep your car running. Then just replace the broken part and your back to square one again, a working X Pro along with a complete Mad Rat.

The reason I bought a MatRat from JE was purely because DCM told me the car was made from different plastic to that of the XPro version, which he stated to be very stiff. I wanted to see for myself and possibly show it alongside for a comparison in the review.

I also know that many people beleive a bendy (to a point) car is better / easier to drive than a stiffer one. A great looking chassis but with softer materials - it'll be interesting to see how it goes.

wishbones need to be reasonably stiff, to keep geometry under load, the chassis needs a little 'give' in it, to make the car feel more forgiving.

Mad Rat = good starting point for 2wd racing?
Any after market ally bitas available? (3rd part or otherwise)
