Bodies for an RB5
What bodies will fit an RB5?
I do not like the fact that the original body does not fit tightly. When I drive my Pred I hardly get any moisture into my car when driving in wet conditions. I would like to find a similar solution for the RB5. |
I've always ran the standard shell and never had an issue with to much water, dirt etc getting in the car. The new SP shell is an improvement but still doesn't fit entierly snug.
The proline Vortex shell fits all the way around the chassis. http://www.prolineracing.com/p-590-v...y-for-rb5.aspx |
thx guys

i use the crowd lpeaser from proline. hugs the chassis nicely and one of the nicer looking shells for the car

Hey Niggs,
I only found the Vortex-body from Proline, fitting an RB5. The Crowd Pleaser seems designed for the B4 (source: http://www.prolineracing.com/c-31-bodies.aspx) ... or does it also fit the RB5?? |
The Azarashi "Quracca" is another nice looking option for the RB5

This is my rb5 after a heat in rainy conditions.. No water/dirt inside at all, and its with the kit body..
The trick is to use a wide tape "gaffa" or "silver" type to seal up the holes between the chassis and body. Afterall you know when its gonna be wet and muddy and you just have to adapt to that and prepare everything.. i just see this as rainpreparations |
Think you might want to check yout toe-in, there...

JConcepts also has a shell for the RB5 #0047.
|
it fits both m8 and should be listed to do so. blitz has one of mine so i will ask him to post the part number for you.
ludo you have pm |
i like the Jconcepts body. very clean lines. and for that price, you get 2 very big & sturdy wings too. value for $$.

And what body is this? This seems not a Jconcepts-body to me, but I can be mistaken. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5S0PTifT2pk/Si...0/IMG_7218.JPG |
That is the Sword body, the one that comes with the SP
