The ratio for a pre-B4 stealth gearbox is 2.4:1,and for the B4 itself, the ratio is 2.6:1

To be 100% sure, you can count the gear teeth and do some maths. Illustrations from the manual or spare parts should suffice for this task.

I just double checked the internal ratio on my 6 gear, and the info on associated's website (www.rc10.com) seems incorrect. It's actually 1.833 ( 22 /12 ), but the site lists it at 1.9

:D

That chart's very useful - thanks!

However, I'm a bit suspicious of the maths they use, as the rounding seems a bit suss at least for the 6 gear. Surely, an 11t pinion on the 54t spur should have a total ratio of exactly 9, not 8.98. The idlers and outdrives are 22t, and the other "diff shaft" gears in the transmission are 12t. (22 / 12) * (54 /11) = 9

I still think counting teeth is the only way to be really sure.

But hey, this is a bit pedantic...;)

Cheers,
Ty

what spur you using? if your on a 81t use 18t 19t or 20t will work, depending on how your track is setup. experiment, that's the only way you're going to find what you like. for you and your battery.
