Don't ask me where but there is a bit of software on the net where you can hit the number of the car and it will lap count etc, not that accurate but that's the way we did it back in the day at Ashford model car club!

ryan_93 10-06-2009 03:56 PM

is it laps free or something like that Mark?

Don't Orion do a personal lap counter based on infared or something?

MHeadling 10-06-2009 04:22 PM

Yes good old Terry and Clive!! Yes Orion do a lap Counter, I know Mirage are clearing out the Orion gear so worth a look on their website, was about £200 ish though! Cheaper to tap those keys!!

A possible solution

Spektrum has this option if you've got the telemetry set.
Look at the section Lap counter

The sensor

The trigger

Futaba 3GR and 3VC transmitters have a timer / stopwatch function, that is operated by a trigger switch above the right stick. you flick it with your finger when you cross the start finish line. Its in a fairly natural position.
