Lipos and brushless turns .

Hi all,
I run 2wd and 4wd, most of the time on carpet or grass, sometimes on dirt .
With lipos i was going to run a 7,5 turns in the 2wd and a 6,5 in the 4wd .

I noticed with the 4wd that i overgear a bit to keep up with the guys that has a bigger motor .

That said my question is:
With your experiences what is better tu use on high/medium grip surface: ---Bigger turns a bit overgeared but you manage to be at full throttle more often OR ---fewer turns normal geared and you almost only reach full throttle in the straight ?
What do you use ?

Thanks .
