Toast

how do you like it?

her indoors has always toasted bread on a single side, she says it's real toast but I think it's a way of saving money that dates back to when times were hard as a child

not bothered if you butter the toasted side or the untoasted

bigred5765 02-06-2009 05:39 PM

how can it be called toast unless its TOASTED on both sides

twisty 02-06-2009 05:39 PM

you dont get a choice if you do it in a toaster do you? :confused:

To me its not toast unless it is done both sides, just lightly toasted until it starts going brown, so burnt stuff welcome here :thumbsup:

It's called "toast", not "half done". BOTH SIDES :thumbsup:

anyone for anything otherwise should seek professional help....from a chef :D

bigoggy 02-06-2009 09:14 PM

single sided every time:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Oh god, is today a "slow news" day then :D?

Still, I can't resist - both sides please nicely tanned, not something that looks like a first gen carbon pan car chassis.

Reason for the post was she was missing single sided toast. Now I've replaced the faulty item in the oven late yesterday so she could have some.

Guess the t**t hasn't done any this morning to go with her cuppa. That's after blood, sweat and tears to fit in 15 minutes last night and it took father & son to do it. One to hold the nut and the other to turn the screw.

rant over

back on topic

how do you like your toast???
