Cheapest handset with EPA
Anyone know the cheapest stick transmitter with some basic additional functions on it? Like EPA, maybe subtrim?
|
prob a sanwa gemini 2. not sure if there is cheaper tho

Something like a Futaba 3GR?
Available in 3 versions:
As far as I can tell, you won't get EPA etc in a stick transmitter for under this kind of money. Wheel, yes, Stick, no. It's just because less people use sticks, so it isn't really that viable to produce on the manufacturer's part. There is also the Sanwa Gemini II (40mHz FM), if you can find it anywhere. I saw it on DMS-Racing's website for £89.99, though I don't know if they have it in stock. This would probably fit the bill too. |
Better off getting competition kit second hand. Older KO and Futaba controllers can be had for less than £70.

I was going to say Gemini II straight away when I saw the thread title, but it has already been mnetioned, it is our most popular "budget" stick handset with most of the popular featues used for racing. We have three in stock at present if needed.

If spektrum made a stick version of the dx3.0 i am sure they would sell them in there 1000s tbh i think they are really missing out on this section of the market
|
I don't think they would.
We are the only country where a large proportion of drivers use sticks. A Spektrum DX3 in stick format can't really be used in rock crawlers either, where many people use sticks - as it is only 3 channel. That's why many rock crawlers use things such as the DX6i - 6 Channels for all the bits needed. There is a market, but it's limited, which will push the price up, into the same range as the Futaba 3GR 2.4gHz, so you'll have two transmitters competing for a small market - not really in Spektrum's best interest. |
