Usual Serpent quality. But I guess it will take an expert driver to go fast with this beauty : 3,5cc power and 2wd !!! :o

did anyone ever see that guy a few years ago on clarkson extreme machines who scratch built a 1/4 scale ferrari le man car. it was a total 1/4 rep including the engine, gearbox....everything. the guy took years to build and reckoned to do one for someone it would be £200K. it had genuine push button start, the lot

Stu 22-02-2007 08:59 PM

I do remember that, ya man there was well off his tits.....

losidan 22-02-2007 09:57 PM

stu,

i note from your sig that when it comes to carpet cleaning duties you are packing the dyson 04....same as me. have you made any mods yet or are you still running as standard.

we have ballraced the wheels and now it flies over the carpet and with carbon handle we've reduced excess flex

Lee 23-02-2007 09:58 AM

I crashed my dyson (its blue) into the skirting board the other day i managed to pull off the brushes on the right hand side, it now pulls to the left horribly, do you think its effecting the aerodynamics of the hoover, as the ground effect technology is not working to its full potential? I might need to have it checked out in a wind tunnel though:rolleyes:

losidan 23-02-2007 07:00 PM

could be but i would first make sure you have not tweaked it or damaged the steering..best to check the cheaper stuff before going the expensive route eh

Stu 23-02-2007 07:50 PM

Running it fairly standard.
I have an option belt that I got offov the market.
Some rear (or front) toe in that was created after a run-in with a piano.
A power cable mended with selotape after the mother in law had a Jack-Russell/rose-wine incident.

Bloody hell Stu do you have a piano, how posh are you.:)

Lee 26-02-2007 10:41 AM

has anyone tried the hoovers brushless?

philly 26-02-2007 11:42 AM

I've found that although the brushless is fine on smooth, hard surfaces it is near imposible to use with any impact on carpet.

Make sure you don't waste your dysons extra aerodynamic advantage, by making sure you hold the handle as low as possible, for the ultimate streamlined shape.

Also, make sure you never swap it for a Kirby. They are HUGE, have silly names, and they call you once a week to ask if you want it servicing, or if they can show you how to clean your carpets;)

If you look you'll find that Stu is really very rich and quite posh. He just chooses to dress like a tramp. :o

Also he's off of Burnley.
