Hyper 9 20 Degree Engine Mounts & Shafts?

Can anyone give the reasons to why 20 degree engine mounts are available for the Hyper 9, and why there are different centre shafts which are to be used with the 20 deg. mounts.
Are these specifically for use with particular engines? Is there anywhere you can find reasons for the introduction of these option parts? I've tried scouring the net today with no joy... But here on Oople i'm sure i'll get some reasoning. Maybe a link to some info etc..

At a guess I would say that these engine mounts are to help those people with tuning issues. Apparantly John Hazlewood had been running his engine upright at the start of this season, as he couldn't get the engine on tune due to the angle. (This is why in the pictures of the first SRS, Jon had his hand over the engine).

Only other reason I can think of is some engines may not fit properly (like the carb may not open fully) but I don't really know.

I have a Hyper 9, but it's the electric one, so my experiences with the car can't really shed any light on this.

Thinner centre shafts would be needed, as the stock engine mounts sit under the driveshafts, so if thatb side of the engine rises, something would have to give so they don't rub.

The 20Deg mounts allow the the engine to clear the chassis as some engines (RB ect) have finning at the base of the crank case & the engine would not fit without spacing the engine up on the mounts.

You can use the stock centre shafts but need to use button head screws on the engine mount as the cap head bolts will rub on the shaft.

Yes, some of the UK Hobao team are running the engine upright with proto type mounts, these will hopefully be on-sale soon.
