nosram matrix case
 

Hi... as the title says.. I'm after a matrix istc spare case please. Pm me with whatever you have please... (broken speedo's considered).. thanks.

I dont think you can replace the case on the istc as the top part of the casing and the heatsink is harwired on to the fet board for cooling. But if its just a normal matrix esc with a heatsink stuck on its easy to change the case.

I bought this speedo off a fellow oopler in good faith that i could get a replacement case. Paid him a fair price for it too.. but.. in hind-sight, think i may have een ripped off if the above statement is true. (have wired the speedo up and all seems to be working as it should) However.. I do have the waranty card, so maybe if I have a word with the new or old distributor, they might be nice and do something for me?

Is the case damaged or cracked etc??

Or does it just look messy because the red has come off?
If so you could always dye the casing black. They look awesome in all black (stealthy) :lol:

I dont think the distributor will do anything about it if the esc itself is actually working. Because if the case is damaged they can say its been put in a vulnerable place in the car.

It has a heatsink, but no case at all :thumbdown:

I am gunna be propper gutted if I cant get this sorted.. I am unemployed/retired due to ill health, and cant afford to go throwing money away.....:bored:

Anybody able to help? I have one on order with a well known model shop, but thats been on order since april!...... please.. etting desperate now...:(

Have to admit i was led to believe (quite a while ago) you couldn't buy the cases on their own, as the top part couldn't be properly fitted.

That said i did enquire about one that didn't have a case on here a little while ago. :confused:

Contact mirage they will know. Ive heard of someone changni the colour of there speedo bought a nosram and changed it to a LRP case. But that was a dominator evo.

In my opinion the best thing to do would be to PM this fellow 'oOpler' and ask him to sort you a case out and you give him the money as that was part of the deal , failing that send the spedo back with the warranty card and see what they will do. They might do it for free but they might charge you , i think they might charge you about 20quid but they will more than likley put a new case on for you , if your lucky they will replace the whole thing!! for a new one like they did with my m8s

Ash, the brushed speedo was fairly easy to change case, but not sure it's so easy on b/l.

yes you can change the case on them but its not easy , i had to replace one while back , and mirage did sell them seperate , i thought i had a spare one somewhere but can t find it buddy sorry

Thanks to everyones input. I must say it is very dissapointing, but I hope this has made people aware that the case is a difficult part to get hold of... It doesnt help that mirage have been "absorbed" by HPI now, so when rcdisco eventually get there act together, maybe i can try them?
