It all depends on your budget really, but I'll do 2 typical set-ups.

CLUB RACE/RACE:
  • Engine 1: RB S9 with matching pipe (about £200 ish)
  • Engine 2: Sirio CL3B with matching pipe (about £180)
  • Engine 3: Novarossi P5X with matching pipe (about £200-250)
  • Steering Servo: ACE DS1015
  • Throttle Servo: ACE DS1313
  • Rx Pack: LRP 1500mAh/2300mAh LiPO with regulator
  • Starter Box: SMD Evolution Box
  • Starter Box Battery: 7Ah Motorbike 12V battery
  • Starter Box Battery: 2x 4000mAh NiMH stick packs in series
  • Starter Box Battery: 2x 7.4V LiPOs in series
  • Glow Start
  • Fuel Bottle
  • Fuel: Byron 30%, O'Donnell 30%, UptiFuel 30%
BUDGET
  • Engine 1: Picco P3 Basic with Pull start
  • Engine 2: Go 3-port (the blue one)
  • Engine 3: Something second hand
  • Pipe: Hong Nor 086 or similar
  • Steering Servo: Futaba 3305
  • Throttle Servo: Futaba 3003
  • Rx Pack: Orion 1600mAh NiMH
  • Starter Box: the Fastrax twin motor one
  • Starter Box Battery: 7Ah 12V
  • Starter Box Battery: 2 stick packs
  • Glow Start
  • Fuel Bottle
  • Fuel: as above (though probably 25% as it's cheaper and the engine lasts longer)
Or, of course, convert it to electric!

if you are going to bash it i would recomened going to www.rc10.com and look at the modification section due to modding the diff house for extra strength and this helps racing as well
